Bad Luck
Bad Luck
Bad Luck performs in another cosmos from most bands. With more than a decade of collaboration, Neil Welch (saxophone + live electronics) and Christopher Icasiano (drums) “bear down on you like a cyclone of fire” (The Stranger). Based out of Seattle, Bad Luck is a genre-defying supernova of electronics, metal, folk and jazz.
Mind Beams
Mind Beams
Explosive psychedelic prog magic.
MKB ULTRA
MKB ULTRA
My name is Mia Katherine Boyle and MKB ULTRA is the band I started with Sheridan Riley on drums and now Patrick James Lenon (sometimes both!), 5-Track on bass, Lisa Mansfield on percussion and back ups and now Laura Weller Vanderpool on guitar and back ups and, of course, Jack Endino recording us and playing guitar leads...it’s not quite a solo project although I write all the songs. To be honest, I am not sure that music is truly ever created by one person but that is another topic for another time. This is the band MKB ULTRA: We are committed to convey the truth as we know it and as it chooses to be conveyed in time and space through the hearts and minds of those devoted to the incredible, unifying power of self-expression. We intend that expression to reveal things that are for you, and only you, to know. The thought of this is delightful. Rock on.
Hex Rays
Hex Rays
Psych-fuzz heathens, HEX RAYS, grew together from roots stretching throughout Seattle’s rich musical earth. The band members—Kaija Rae (vocals), Darren Chase and Rod Learmonth (guitars), and Steve Knouse (bass)—stitch their pasts together with threads of punk, metal, and bewitched pop into a cloak of woven energy. For tip-of-the-spear Kaija, the personal is political. Words and hooks cast a luring spell, only to pierce the entranced listener with feminist fury.
