Anthony Lee Phillips
Anthony Lee Phillips
A fusion of chamber jazz and indie-rock, the Anthony Lee Phillips band blossomed from a few Seattle friendships and a whole lot of songs written in 2013. Anthony had been playing with drummer Jack Brady in the group Blue Poseidon, and was beginning to record some of that music in February 2016 - music that would become the independently released Between Doubles.

During that time, Anthony had been in a band with his dad Steve Phillips on drums, cellist and composer Justin Huertas, and bassist Ted Lim. Due to a family crisis and scheduling conflicts, however, that group dissolved. Ted and Jack came back into the group for a few gigs, and the group started to play out more. Trumpet player Andrew Forbes came in for a few songs on that record, and Anthony Lee Phillips band started to play out more. As a quartet, they began to develop a collective voice playing some shows around Ballard, and producing their own house shows.

Summer 2017 saw a hiatus, and the autumn brought a fresh 17 songs into the fold, as well as the addition of singer (and songwriter, in her own respect) Natalie Paige. On December 13th, The Blur E.P., a collection of all-new tunes performed by the songwriter, alone, was released, and The Blur Electric - a full band variation of those songs - will be released later this Spring. A collection of 30-40 songs will be released as an official songbook later this year, and if inspiration strikes again, perhaps another full album of original material will see 2018.
Cavalerie
Cavalerie
We're a local Seattle progressive hip/hop band. Jazz + Funk + Hip Hop = Jafunkhop. It's that simple.

Cavalerie was formed by Max Walker in 2012 during his Freshman year at Cornish College of the Arts. Since then, the group has hit the Seattle scene running, making a name for them selves as a fresh approach to both hip hop and progressive jazz. Cavalerie has played venues around the greater Seattle area and has also played venues spanning to as far as Leavenworth, WA. Additionally, in late 2016 they were featured on the radio show Sonarchy, broadcasting an hour long live set throughout Washington state. Cavalerie is currently preparing to release there first full EP which will stand along side there demo "Inner Stellar Grooves from the 5th Dimension" and there single "Ten O'Clock News".
