Palooka
Palooka
PALOOKA is big thick two guitar rock the way God intended it. Singer Paul Passarelli belts out melody lines full of emotion and purpose with tenacity. Duffy Delgado and Glen Logan trade flurries of devastating and searing guitar punches reminiscent of a barroom brawl. All of which sits on the rock solid pounding foundation built on the talents of Howard Binner on bass and the percussive mauler Jason Reavis on drums.

PALOOKA brings together musicians who have been haunting the Seattle scene from the pre grunge days (yes there was a pre grunge Seattle music scene) to present. PALOOKA is made up by former members of Overlord, Bible Stud, Boss Martians, History of Thorns, The Chauffeur, Bottle of Smoke, West Section Line, Debutant, Born Naked, Lipstick, October and Kingmother. Paul Passarelli also sings in 70 Proof and for the last decade he has sung for Mike McCready’s Flight to Mars annual Crohn's benefit shows.

Combined with their past projects and experience PALOOKA also sites influences ranging from Elton John and Louis Armstrong to Bowie/Ronson, KISS, Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Iggy Pop, The Sex Pistols, The Cult, The Ramones, The Rolling Stones, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Hanoi Rocks, Smack and many more. Topped off by the obvious Evel Knievel hero worship that asserts itself from their younger days as demonstrated by the What’s Wrong With Wanting Everything album cover photo we start to get a glimpse where PALOOKA’s contemporary take on Hard Rock/Alternative music full of honest emotion and grit comes from.
The National Guard
The National Guard
Late in 2015, The National Guard formed in Seattle, Washington. Perhaps imperfectly slotted into the “Rock” category, the band consists of Nick Pollock (My Sister’s Machine, Soulbender, Tanks Of Zen), Erin Tate (Minus the Bear), Chris Quinn, (Truly, West Section Line) and Nick Rhinehart (Jerry Cantrell, Bam Bam). The band has years of collective experience playing locally, nationally and internationally.

As this musical history suggests, there are disparate influences at play, ranging from hard rock and metal to indie rock and alternative rock. Make no mistake, however. The result is focused, tight, and melodic. While their first album is currently being recorded, the band is looking forward to playing live sets in the near future.

Inauguration Day, their first release, is dedicated to narcissism at its finest. Originally titled “Narcissus,” this song morphed quite naturally into “Inauguration Day,” a nod to the colorful & boorish characters present in today’s Divided States of America.
Jericho Hill
Jericho Hill
Jericho Hill is a shredding rock n' roll medley of Whiskey and wonder. An Enigmatic ball of sexy fury designed to keep your heart pounding, booty's shaking, and your horns held high. By Mixing crunchy and curiously melodic guitar licks with a stank-faced groove, and topping it of with an aggressive vocal glaze, Jericho Hill has branded an energetic style of uptempo and tasty hard rock that might just melt the eyeballs out of your face.
