Our passion here at High Dive IS our love and support of music. The High Dive provides a first-rate stage/sound/staff to provide a real showcase experience for the performers that make Seattle one of the greatest music cities in the world. Above all, it is our mission to support both local and national talent while continuing to build a strong community of fellow artists and music lovers.

Some of the genres we typically showcase include: indie, alternative, pop, punk, wave, psych, alt-country, EDM, electro-rock, goth, metal, hip-hop, R&B, soul, funk and we love catering to the dance and burlesque community. We are open to showcasing and highlighting all genres of music and we pride ourselves in hosting benefits for the community.

High Dive is a proud partner and featured venue with Do206.com and their music/events calendar appears in all major music mags and blog sites in Seattle including: KEXP.org, 107.7 the end, Nada Mucho, Seattle Music Insider, Three Imaginary Girls, and many more!

Expectations for your show:

We promote our shows via our music calendars, email lists, and social media but rely on our honored performers to help make each night a success. If a band cannot promote their show 110% the night will not work, no doubt about it. However, we work closely with Northwest Polite Society, who offer a discount on poster distribution for all bands playing at the High Dive.

Our expectation for each band or performer on any given show booked at High Dive is to be able to bring, at a minimum, 40+ people to a weekday performance, and 100+ people to a weekend performance. We are always open to working with up & coming talent but if you feel you may not meet these expectations, PLEASE feel free to ask us about other venues in town! We love our friends and will be happy to help your band find a venue that fits!

Tips to getting a show:

It is never a bad time to receive love letters… However, it is not necessary to snail mail your press kit! Email is the best route! Please email us at the address below and include as much information about your band as possible, including:

  • A list of venues and dates you have played and on what nights of the week.
  • Other bands you have played with.
  • Bands you know and/or who you want to build a bill with.
  • Your average draw for a show.

Include a link to your band’s website, ALL social media pages, a preferred band photo, and a direct link to your music. Any press you may have received is also valuable!

For all shows booked at High Dive we ask for 7-10 printed posters (any emailed posters will be used in online campaigns only). Posters must be delivered to the High Dive no less than 2 weeks prior to show and can be dropped off any day of the week AFTER 7pm.
